Pool Construction - Design Your Pool

Layout in yard

The area of your yard where you want to pool located is measured and marked.

Excavation

The excavator digs the hole and the dirt may be used for either landscaping on property or hauled off site.

Plumbing and steel

The reinforcing steel rods, PVC pipes and fittings that make up the circulation system to your spa jets, waterfalls and any other special items that you’ve chosen to customize your pool are carefully installed and tested.

Shotcrete of shell

To form the shell of your pool, a special mixture of concrete is applied and finished by our experienced team of craftsmen.

Tile and coping

Buddy’s installs a band of acid-proof, double-fired pool tile typically six-inch in height. It’s critically important that highly experienced craftsmen handle the tile work because errors in tile are instantly visible.

Decking

Now that the structure is complete, it’s time to form the framework for your deck. An appropriate stone base will be laid, readying the area for the deck material you have chosen. Then, Buddy’s deck crew will install your new deck.

Utilities

The licensed professional electric contractors at Buddy’s carefully make all the electrical connections for your pool. The lights are installed, the pumps are wired and electrical breakers are installed. If your pool or spa package includes a heater, Buddy’s will help you choose and install the best heater for your needs.

Interior finish

A mixture of crushed marble and cement will be hand-toweled over the surface of your pool to produce a smooth finish.

Fill

The final step of the process… Just add water!
